CLiC- The Language and Computation Center focuses its research on the computational processing of language:

• Development of linguistic technological resources (annotated corpora, lexicons, parsers) wich are the base of other applications based on language processing: extracting information, finding answers, recovering information...
• It is a key factor of our work that the resources we develop follow a metodological basis, so that while we are still working on a new tool we can also share our methodology with the researchers' community.
• Our main interest is language, both oral and written. Our research aims to the construction of a model of linguistic performance based on a bottom-up analysis of data.

CLiC has been recognized as an established group by Generalitat de Catalunya (SGR-2005-00309) (2009 SGR 611).

The company THERA SL appeared as a spin-off of the research group.
